December – More Skiing, Less Climbing

December was a quiet month for climbing, but not for outdoor activities! With winter in full swing, we’ve been spending a lot more time skiing and enjoying the snow, which naturally meant less structured climbing training than usual.

Balancing Skiing and Training

I’m still following my training plan, but I have to admit—it’s been a bit less frequent than in previous months. Skiing has taken up a lot of my free time, and honestly, I’m totally fine with that. Spending days out in the mountains, carving down fresh snow, and just enjoying winter has been a great way to mix things up.

At the same time, I’m making sure to keep up with my Treadwall sessions, even if they’re slightly less intense. It’s all about maintaining my endurance and strength, so that when I start training more seriously again, I won’t have lost too much progress.

Enjoying the Off-Season

December has been about having fun, staying active, and not stressing too much about training. Skiing has been a great way to keep my legs strong and my endurance up, and I know that once the new year starts, I’ll get back into a more focused climbing routine.

For now, I’m just enjoying the winter season, knowing that rock climbing season will be back soon enough.
