Endurance Training Restart – Keeping it Light and Aerobic
Today is January 10th, and I’ve officially started my endurance training again.
Last week, I eased in with very light sessions, focusing on staying within the aerobic threshold—meaning a heart rate of around 130 bpm to ensure no unnecessary fatigue or lactate buildup.
To keep it truly aerobic, I set my wall to a vertical position and use mostly large holds, allowing me to climb effortlessly and smoothly.
The goal isn’t to push hard but rather to reintroduce my body to climbing without overloading my recovering shoulder.
My current structure:
✅ 4 to 5 minutes of continuous climbing
✅ Up to 5 minutes of rest between sets
✅ 3 to 4 rounds per session
So far, this approach feels great—controlled, sustainable, and most importantly, pain-free. The key is patience, and I’m determined to build my endurance gradually without rushing into high-intensity sessions too soon.
I’m excited to see how my fitness improves over the next weeks—Kalymnos is getting closer, and I want to be as ready as possible! 💪🔥
