January – Busy Days, Less Training, and a Perfect Weekend in the Mountains

January was a hectic month, with a lot of work and not as much training as I would have liked. Finding time to climb was tough, but luckily, my DIY Treadwall once again proved to be the perfect tool to maintain my level—even with low-intensity sessions.

Maintaining Strength with Minimal Training

Despite having less time to train, I made sure to at least get a few sessions in on the Treadwall. What surprised me the most was how well it worked for maintaining my endurance and finger strength, even though I wasn’t pushing myself as hard as usual. Just staying consistent with shorter, low-intensity sessions helped me avoid losing progress, which is a huge win.

This has been another reminder that training doesn’t always have to be super intense to be effective—sometimes, just moving and staying in the routine is enough to keep things in check.

A Perfect Weekend Getaway

One of the best parts of the month was that we managed to spend a weekend in a mountain hut with friends. It was an amazing break from work and routine, filled with skiing, good food, and great company.

The days were spent skiing in fresh snow, and the evenings were all about cooking together, relaxing, and enjoying the atmosphere. Of course, we ended up having a bit of a party, because what’s a mountain hut weekend without some fun?

Looking Ahead

January was busy, but still a great balance of work, training, and enjoying winter. Now, I’m looking forward to getting back into a more structured training routine in February. But for now, I’m happy that I could still stay active and make the most of the season! 🔥🎿
