May was all about coming down from the high of our amazing April trip to Spain.
After spending a whole month climbing in Chulilla and Siurana, it felt a bit surreal to be back home. The memories of endless limestone routes, van life, and perfect weather were still fresh, and honestly, I was already missing it.
Easing Back into Home Climbing
Even though the big trip was over, we didn’t stop climbing completely. On the weekends, we got out to some of our local crags, enjoying shorter sport routes and just having fun days out on real rock.
The transition from Spanish endurance routes to home climbing felt interesting—suddenly, everything seemed shorter and more bouldery.
After weeks of climbing every day, it was also nice to relax a little and not feel the pressure of pushing hard. Just enjoying movement, climbing without expectations, and making the most of the early summer weather was exactly what I needed.
Looking Ahead to Summer Adventures
May felt like the perfect time to reset, recover, and get excited for summer. With longer days and warm temperatures, the climbing season at home is just getting started. There are plenty of new routes to try, and I already have some ideas for bigger summer trips.
For now, I’m just enjoying the mix of training, relaxed climbing, and summer vibes. April was unforgettable, but I know more adventures are coming soon! 🔥☀️💪
