November was a quiet month, mostly because of the bad weather. It’s been cold, gray, and we even got a lot of snow. Outdoor climbing was pretty much impossible, so instead, we did some sledding to make the most of the winter vibes.
The DIY Treadwall – A Lifesaver in Bad Weather
This month really showed me just how valuable my DIY Treadwall is. When the weather is terrible and getting outside isn’t an option, I don’t have to worry about missing training—I can simply adapt my sessions at home.
The best part? The variety. I can:
✅ Climb vertically for low-intensity endurance
✅ Set it to an overhang to train power
✅ Switch between big and small holds depending on my focus
Having the freedom to adjust my training based on how I feel is a huge advantage. Instead of skipping sessions because of the weather, I can stay consistent, keep improving, and most importantly, still enjoy climbing, even when it’s freezing outside.
Keeping the Stoke High
Even though I miss climbing outside, the Treadwall keeps my motivation up. It’s really cool to see how much I can still work on my endurance, finger strength, and movement skills without needing a climbing gym or good conditions.
Now, as winter really sets in, I’m excited to keep training indoors and prepare for next year’s outdoor projects.
